For The Good Of Brookhaven

Have you asked your neighbor to register for the Brookhaven Fun Run yet? What are you waiting for? They expect a church to support the community so when they find out your church is helping our local firehouse make ends meet by organizing a 5K, they’ll be happy you asked.

 

100% of funds raised go directly to the fire department. They might forget the date or the website to register so you can give them a handy dandy magnet to put on their fridge. (They’re available in the church lobby along with yard signs.) Then they’ll know you belong to a church that cares about the community. A church that is setting aside a morning to help us all appreciate our first responders. So, when you see your neighbor, invite them to register!

Of course, we need FCCers to volunteer to staff the various race duties, too. The tasks are not difficult and they don’t take a lot of time. You can volunteer using the bulletin insert in church on Sunday. We still need some people! 

Let’s make this event something people will remember – for good!

If you have been a parent of a FaithKids child then you have heard me talk about The Gospel Project. The Gospel Project is the curriculum we use in our Faith Friends classroom and in our FaithKids Worship. I could explain to you with many, many words why we use this curriculum but this video does it much better than I ever could!

Pal/Gal Valentines party has been rescheduled to March 6th at 7 pm.

For the month of March we are continuing our study of Fruits of the Spirit at youth group and Ephesians in Sunday School. A few important dates are listed below:

• Saturday, March 30 - At 10 AM we will be meeting at the gym for donuts and then we will drive the 5K race route and distribute notification letters to all houses along the route. We plan to have this done and return to the church by 12. Email youth@faithcc.info if you want to join us.
• Sunday, April 7 is the Br5Khaven Fun Run. If you have not already signed up to run/walk or volunteer please do so. We would love to run as a group.
• Friday, April 12 - 7:00-10:00  Duct Tape Wars, this event is exactly what it sounds like...duct tape galore. There will be many activities involving duct tape, if you are lucky maybe you will get to duct tape a leader to the wall! Sign ups are coming.
• Wednesday, May 15 - this is the last day to register for SHACC. If you have any questions regarding payment or activities please email us at youth@faithcc.info. 

One more reminder about the 5K...Don't forget about the 5K Prep Party on March 31st at Noon. We'll make posters, fill swag bags, eat pizza and more.
